Good day to all!
Is anybody out there busy? If not I would like a piece of your life, just a little piece. All kidding aside, things are going very well and as long as I keep all the balls in the air I won't drop any. This is the busiest time of the year for me at G & E Roofing, assisting the sales group in developing a sufficient work load for the upcoming year.
The kids have been on vacation and we didn't start out on the right foot with one of my sons receiving a speeding ticket prior to vacation. The $119 fine has him scrambling for work in between his lacrosse and school. So this week he is moving wood piles out at camp in an area that was thinned out two years ago. It has been a little bit of a challenge to keep them on task. I say "them" because my other son (I am leaving names out by design) has similar financial issues but not speeding tickets. He has a bald tire on his vehicle which needs to be replaced ASAP and that requires coin before I pull the vehicle. Thus the needed work.
My Dad once told me about a son who was away at school and wrote to his Dad and it went like this:
Dad, no mon, no fun, your Son
And the father wrote back:
Too bad, so sad, your Dad
This fit my father to a "T" and I saw how I turned out and I am just trying to do the same. But trust me, they have a lot more than I ever thought of having but I still need to have them participate.

Last night was another huge success at trivia. We had 59 contestants and by the sounds of things everybody had a blast! I say sounds because I was in the kitchen and also working on a computer/camera issue. We will be running trivia several more weeks and at this point have not determined a final night prior to taking the summer off.
At the KV YMCA we are at the start of our annual support/Strong Kids campaign of which I co-chair. This is our annual fundraiser that provides scholarships to families that may otherwise not be able to afford a YMCA experience so that no one is denied because of the inability to pay. As you can imagine the need is greater than ever and this years goal is $160,000. I have all the confidence in the world that through the hard work of the committee and the generosity of the greater Kennebec Valley, we will either meet or exceed our goal.
Mother's Day is coming soon on Sunday May 13. Make your plans to come visit us. It is the biggest dining out day of the year and any good restaurant will have a wait. We do have pagers so that you can sit in the comfort of your vehicle while you wait or stroll around outside. As a note, we do not take reservations but will do our very best to accommodate your needs.
Busy night on the Expo line- it's making me hungry!

Don't forget to join us on Tuesdays at 4 pm for All You Can Eat fish fry. This has also been a big hit! Tender juicy chunks of Haddock lightly breaded to your liking. This just might be my new favorite meal, I have so many to choose from!
All for now, hope to see you at the Dine-ah soon!
