Good day to all!
This week flew by like all others. I'm finally back to normal after my trip to India visiting my daughter. I'm able to sleep all night and now the eastern standard time zone feels normal again. (Please see below a few additional pictures of India.)

Easter was a huge success serving some 450 meals. Everything went really smooth. Hats off to Megan, Ryan and all the kitchen staff. Also hats off to Sherri, Michelle and the entire wait staff. It felt really nice being busy for an extended period of time, like most of the day. Our next big day is coming right up, Mother's Day, and historically it is by far the busiest day of the year, as it should be. All Mom's deserve a break, as do us Dad's but the Mom's seem to want to dine out more than the Dad's.
I was recently honored, this past Tuesday night by the Boy Scouts. I was chosen their Citizen of the Year in the Kennebec Valley. We had a nice dinner and program at the Governor Hill Mansion in Augusta with over 125 in attendance. I was very humbled to have been recognized by the scouts. This event is used as a major fund raiser for the local scouting effort. Thanks to all who attended in support of myself and the scouts.

This past Friday I had the opportunity to meet some folks who I communicate regularly with through our newsletter. Lisa and Bruce Hourigan and Bruce's mother Mrs. Alexandra Bilyard. Lisa and Bruce were up from Connecticut visiting his Mom who lives in Searsport. They made a special trip to the Dine-ah to have some of their favorite foods. They also were included in a commercial we happened to be filming that day. We were all excited to say the least. I actually sat down and had lunch with them which may have been a first for me. I received a very nice note from Lisa thanking us for our hospitality and for the opportunity to be in a commercial. They are really excited for their relatives to see them on t.v. Lisa and Bruce are Maine natives and their relatives are from around Searsport and Stockton Springs. This was a special treat for me because I write to so many of you and only wish I could meet everyone of you. Thank you Bruce, Lisa and Mrs. Bilyard for coming to see us and it will be even more fun communicating in the future now that I have faces to go with the names.

I also had the opportunity to meet the Garrett- Reed family from Tenants Harbor. Both Megan and Carolyn are regular readers of the newsletter. Megan their daughter works for Chellie Pingree in her Washington, D.C. office. They came into the Dine-ah last night to play Trivia and to meet myself and the staff. I enjoyed our visit and hope to see you all again.
All for now, hope to see you at the Dine-ah soon!NormWe are serving a new feature on Tuesday nights starting at 4pm "All You Can Eat" haddock fish fry!
