Greetings from Mumbai, India!
For those of you who don't know, I'm visiting my daughter Leslie who lives in Goa, India. Today we flew to Mumbai, which was about an hour flight from Goa to visit Leslie's brother in law, Apoorva Lakhia, who is a well know movie director.
It has been 95+ degrees since I landed in India last Friday and the humidity is high to say the least. We all would be complaining how hot it was if we had this weather back home, but over here it is normal. The monsoon season is just around the corner and these high temps and humidity are just the build up to upcoming months of rain.
I'm having a great visit if you leave out the frustration I've experienced of trying to access the Internet and the fact that my camera batteries went dead at just the wrong minute!
I must confess that I was as sick as I have ever been on my second day here in India. The third day I spent recovering and my daughter Leslie has been a saint nursing me back to health and life. For about 24 hours, I could not have cared less if I ever saw this country again but fortunately, today it is a different story.
I am having difficulty with the Internet again so I will sign off for now. I will continue with more from my trip when I write next week. I have many photos to share when I get back home.
I miss you all and can't wait to get back to the people and life I so enjoy.
