What's New - APPS Roles & Reasons

In the most recent APPS upgrade, PPSD works to provide greater clarity with the most common mistakes users make when submitting e-2530's in APPS.   Selecting the wrong Roles or Reasons for submission, can result in a returned 2530, causing project delays.

Notable changes to the Role drop down menu clarify Lessees, Operators, and Management Agents.  The Reason drop-down menu changes were designed to more closely match their associated HUD applications, by referring to program section numbers and the like.

HUD is open to additional clarifications.  If you have comments, questions or suggestions, email us here and we will pass them along.

Murphy Consulting is committed to helping you stay informed of HUD changes and providing you with resources to help you succeed.

APPS Tip of the Month -  "Role" error

Did you know?

HUD's "Role" changes in the submission drop-down menu also affected the Schedule A list of Roles, by mistake.  All roles that previously read "Management Agent" were accidently replaced by "Management Agent-new" which is not the correct role description for a Schedule A list.

We advised HUD and they are working on correcting this. No need to call the HUD Help Desk if you see this error on your List of Previous Participation. HUD is working on it!

REAC Tip of the Month - Door Hardware

Did you know?

If a door has loose hardware but the door and its hardware still function as designed, the REAC Inspector should mark No Observed Deficiency.  There is no deficiency if the door functions as designed - opens, closes, latches and locks, as applicable.

See our Helpful Links below for a direct link to HUD's YouTube video - Preparing for REAC Inspections.
