| What's New - APPS Update Reminder |
"Update your previous participation at the applicant level before submitting to HUD" is a new red warning that appears at the Certification stage of each APPS submission. This friendly reminder from HUD, added during the May 1 upgrade, seems to be causing some confusion around the country.
This is not a new requirement, simply a reminder HUD has added. You must always update your Schedule A list of Previous Participation before any new HUD 2530 submission, whether you file paper or electronic.
A good rule of thumb is to update REAC and MOR scores on your paper 2530 or in APPS as soon as they are received. Same goes for any changes in loan status, especially in the event of a default. (In APPS, simply update under "Edit Previous Participation") This will help you stay ahead of the curve.
