| What's New - Resolving AFS Flags |
May is when trees blossom after a long winter's sleep and the month in which HUD Flags flourish. May is when the 30-day extension to file your property's financials has passed.
If you received a notice from REAC (via e-mail or regular letter) stating that your Annual Financial Statement submission was late, then you already have a HUD Flag on your record.
Flags for "Failure to File Financial Statements" are generated automatically by the system, after the due date has passed with no submission in FASSUB. The system does not automatically resolve the Flag once the filing has occurred. You must contact your HUD Project Manager to request the Flag be resolved.

We asked for some clarifying changes to language in APPS and HUD listened. Thank you HUD!
Last weekend's WASS upgrade included tweaks such as "Search Submission" and "View Organization Structure" instead of Edit, as these functions are not places where one can "edit" in APPS
Additional changes included a reminder at the Certification page to "Update your previous participation at the applicant level before submitting to HUD."
