What's New |
Changes in the economy have folks scrambling to refinance with HUD insured debt products. MAP Lenders are busier than ever. They report significant increases in 232 applications and the 542 risk share product.
To insure that applicants can maintain long-term economic stability, HUD has tightened its FHA underwriting standards. Notice H 2010-11 HUD Multifamily Risk Mitigation was issued last month. See our Helpful Links below to view this notice.

REAC Tip of the Month |
Did you know?
Incomplete documentation is one of the top reasons a REAC inspection appeal is denied.
Documentation standards are outlined in REAC's guidelines, but can be tricky to understand. For example, a signed and sealed letter from an Engineer does not mean the Engineer has to "seal" the envelope, it means he has to stamp his "professional seal" on the letter. To be successful on appeal, gather your documentation carefully or hire a qualified professional to assist you.

Did you know?
One of the top APPS mistakes is selecting the wrong "Reason for Submission"
Whether you are a Management Agent, Owner or General Contractor, if you are filing a HUD 2530 as part of an application the owner or developer is submitting, then each party should select the same "Reason for Submission." Too many folks are simply selecting the generic "New Role for Property." When in doubt, ask.
