What's New |
HUD's Green Retrofit Program dollars for multifamily housing come with mandatory green training requirements for site managers. A minimum of 16 hours of initial training is required within 6 months after the GRP loan or grant closing. With GRP applications submitted last June and award announcements last fall, many are scrambling this Spring to find qualified programs that meet HUD's topic and delivery requirements.
One new training program that meets HUD's requirements is offered by NeighborWorks America in their Asset Management track. Debuting in New Orleans in March, Green and Healthy Strategies for Multifamily Properties, returns in August to the Philadelphia NTI. See our Helpful Links below for direct access to information on this training program.
Denise Murphy is a NeighborWorks AmericaÒ NTI Instructor in the Affordable Housing Division. |
