What's New |
Previously set for a September 30, 2009 mandatory use date,
HUD extended the deadline for EIV use to January 31, 2010
Given the state of human nature (to procastinate) and given the anticipated rush of EIV applications, HUD has announced a few additional dates to note:
December 15, 2009 - Deadline to submit a CAAF in order to assure you have access to EIV by January 31, 2010
January 15, 2010 - Deadline to complete the on-line EIV Coordinator Authorization Request for certification
Concerned about meeting these deadlines?

EIV Tip #1 - CAAF |
Did you know?
MF EIV returns 50% of the EIV access applications people fax or e-mail to them for initial access authorization primarily because they are incorrect.
We are told that many Coordination Access Authorization Forms (CAAF applications) arrive with missing dates and titles or inactive WASS ID's. Even more arrive with multiple site types entered in section B. Some are sent without the signature page.
Be careful and double check your application before sending. You will save time, energy and frustation, for both yourself and for HUD. |
EIV Tip #2 - UAAF |
Did you know?
HUD receives many User Access Authorization Forms (UAAF) that they must return to the sender.
MF EIV approves and certifies Coordinators for access to EIV but approved EIV Coordinators are responsible for approving and certifying Users. Do not send UAAF's to HUD for approval. Send them to your Coordinator.
Murphy Consulting provides EIV Access Training via webinar for both Users and Coordinators. See our web site to register on-line for a 2-hour EIV Access Webinar. Enter December 15th 11:00AM (EST) or December 29th 1:00PM (EST) |
EIV Tip #3 - Security Awareness Tests |
Did you know?
The quickest and safest way to log out of EIV is not to use HUD's built in "Log Out" feature?
Did you know?
Tax Credit Auditors may not view the information in EIV but Independent Auditors may.
WASS will let approved EIV Coordinators assign the EIV role to other Coordinators, even though it is not allowed by HUD. (So don't try it, you'll have your access pulled.)
Annual Security Awareness training is critical for both Coordinators and Users.
