HUD Tip of the Week: Data Base Corrections

Did you know?

HUD Project Managers can no longer make HUD Data Base Corrections for you in iREMS.

If you are not currently set up with access to APPS, do not delay.

Company or Individual information changes, such as address, phone, e-mail or name changes must be made by owners and managers in the APPS sub-system.

Murphy Consulting helps businesses with APPS set up, navigating and 2530 submissions.

REAC Tip of the Week:

Elevator Equipment Room Inspections

Did you know?

Beginning on January 4, 2010 REAC Inspectors are not to enter or inspect rooms that house only elevator equipment.

Don't get too excited just yet about this long awaited guidance.  Inspectors can still enter the elevator equipment room if it provides the only access to another inspectable area.  Additionally, they can inspect the elevator room if it houses other inspectable items not associated with elevators.

Read REAC's 2-page Property Requirements for the Inspection of Elevator Equipment Rooms carefully, so that you understand the requirements.

Prepare, Mitigate and Succeed.  If you need help preparing for a REAC Inspection, contact Murphy Consulting for a referral to a qualified pre-inspection team.

Heard it on the Street

We hear the H1N1 Flu had 50% of REAC's Appeals Review staff out sick last week.

If you've been waiting for a while to hear on an appeal, you may have to wait just a bit longer.

We wish all a speedy recovery.
