REAC Tip of the week - Electrical Panels

Did you know?

HUD recognizes some REAC inspectors are confused about what constitutes a defect on various types of electrical devices and panels. REAC has posted a 10 page clarification document to help them out. (complete with color photos and typical scenarios)

A property can loose anywhere from 7 to 16 points for unsecured panels.  HUD wants to mitigate inspector error and assure your property receives all the points it is entitled to.

Murphy Consulting is here to help as well.  You can view this REAC Inspector's document here or obtain a full color pdf as part of a set in our  Inside HUD Inspector Training© CD-Rom.

iMAX Upload Errors

Did you know?

Some users are experiencing issues uploading files to iMAX using their Web browser. The TRACS Team is working hard to resolve this issue.

A configuration change last Friday should have significantly reduced the number of failures.  If you are still receiving an upload error, try the following:
  1. using your web browser internet options, clear history and delete cookies
  2. split large files into multiple files
  3. upload a smaller number of files at one time
  4. wait 15-30 minutes and try your upload again

If you are still having problems, you may contact deatrie.m.perry@hud.gov and she will assist in uploading your files to iMAX.

HUD requests your patience as they work to get this resolved.
