What's New!

HUD's EIV system has been credited with significantly reducing income and rent determination errors and with catching improper payments.
See our Helpful Links section below for a link to the recently released report on this matter from HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research.

Industry insiders expect HUD to issue a mandate making use of the EIV system mandatory for Owners and Agents some time later this year.
All the more reason to make sure you are registered in the EIV system today!

REAC Tip of the Week

Did you know?

Inside dwelling units, there are 7 extremely high impact deficiencies.
Four are in the bathroom: GFI Inoperable; severely clogged drains; inoperable ventilation/exhaust system; water closet damaged, clogged or missing.   Two are in the kitchen: sink missing, damaged or inoperable; and GFI inoperable.  The last is an inoperable HVAC system.

These are all items you can catch, if you conduct a 100% pre-inspection of your units.

PREPARE for inspections.
MITIGATE potential problems.
SUCCEED on your next REAC!

HUD Secure System Tip of the Week

Did you know?

HUD's 3-step EIV registration process (Validation - Access - Certification) actually requires that you have completed up to 4 steps of WASS access before you can even begin the EIV registration process.

Additionally, be aware that step 1 (Validation) has three requirements and includes a waiting period for processing before you can continue to step 2.
