Wisconsin World War II Vets Honored

Just before dawn on April 21, a chartered plane with more than 90 World War II veterans departed for Washington D.C.  This VIP group was enroute to a special tour of the war memorials and D.C. monuments.  Returning 15 hours later, heroes were greeted by shouts, cheers, music and flags.  For many this was the first chance to tour Arlington Cemetary and other D.C. memorials.  The Badger Honor Flight, part of a nationwide nonprofit organization, provides this life-changing memory at no cost to the veteran.  DCRA has hosted several honor flights and additional flights are being planned.  For more information visit:  www.badgerhonorflight.org
