2011 Holiday Music Extravaganza
Join the Dane County Regional Airport for a holiday music extravaganza! Tunes in the Terminal will showcase more than 300 students from throughout Dane County. These youthful musical ensembles will capture your heart and bring true appreciation for holidays. Delight in the sights and sounds of the season with eleven featured performances from December 13 - December 21. These events have become a tradition for many travelers - once you experience it, you will be inspired to share it every year with the ones you love.

Local Paradies Manager Awarded
The Packers aren't the only winners around these parts! Our congratulations go out to Alanna Roth, manager of the Paradies Shops at the Dane County Regional Airport. Alanna has just been selected "Manager of the Year" by the company for the second year in a row! Roth manages the Lake Country Market, Wisconsin Marketplace, and CNBC Shop at the airport. Roth has been managing the airport's shops for just over three years. Congratulations Alanna!

Boeing Delivers New Dreamliner
On September 26, Boeing celebrated the delivery of the first 787 Dreamliner. Made from composite materials, the 787 is the first mid-size airplane capable of flying long-range routes and will allow airlines to open new, non-stop routes preferred by the traveling public. In addition to providing airlines with unprecedented fuel economy and low operating costs, the 787 features a host of new technologies that greatly enhance the passenger experience. Passengers will appreciate cleaner cabin air, higher humidity and lower cabin altitude that combine to help them feel more refreshed after flying on the 787. Additional innovations include larger windows with electronic shades, bigger onboard luggage bins and LED lighting. |

November 12, 2011
Just before dawn on November 12, a chartered plane with more than 100 World War II veterans departed for Washington D.C. This VIP group was enroute to a special tour of the war memorials and D.C. monuments. Returning more than 15 hours later, heroes were greeted by shouts, cheers, music and flags. DCRA has hosted several honor flights and additional flights are being planned for 2012. |
