TSA Kids Shoes Sign Kids Can Keep Shoes On At Security

The Transportation Security Administration has begun using a new screening procedure, allowing children age 12 and under to leave their shoes on when passing through the DCRA  security checkpoint.  This allows security officers to stay focused on passengers who are more likely to pose a risk to transportationSecurity pat-downs on children might be necessary and shoes might have to come off if a TSA agent feels it's warranted. Read More: The TSA Blog

Badger Honor Flight Honors Wisconsin Veterans

Just before dawn on October 8, a chartered plane with more than 100 World War II veterans departed for Washington D.C.  This VIP group was enroute to a special tour of the war memorials and D.C. monuments.  Returning 15 hours later, heroes were greeted by shouts, cheers, music and flags.  For many this was the first chance to tour Arlington Cemetary and other D.C. memorials.  The Badger Honor Flight, part of a nationwide nonprofit organization, provides this life-changing memory at no cost to the veteran.  DCRA has hosted several honor flights and additional flights are being planned.  For more information visit:  www.badgerhonorflight.org
