Creatures From The Deep Art Court Exhibit Debut
The work of internationally acclaimed jewelry artist Arline Fisch, Creatures from the Deep, has turned the DCRA art court into a shimmering aquarium filled with jellyfish, sea anemones and coral reef sculptures. Showcasing Arline's use of knitting and crocheting techniques to create these larger-than-life sea creatures are made entirely of wire. On display now in the DCRA art court. www.ramart.org/deep |

Edgwood High School Aviators
Forty-five Edgewood High School Juniors and Seniors moved their classroom to DCRA on September 8th for the morning. These future jet setters learned the fundamentals of airport management, FAA tower operations, facility operations and coordination. The EHS aviation curriculum combines practical lessons in math, science, critical thinking, spatial knowledge and leadership skills with dashes of history, art, aesthetics and vocational guidance. The two semester program covers all course work of Pilot Ground School and students learn the characteristics of a good pilot, including vision, perseverance, imagination, dedication, precision, honesty, confidence and communication. www.edgewoodhs.org |
