Yellow, White & Black, Oh My!
Each summer, airport maintenance teams scramble to inspect, repair and repaint all of the surfaces on the airfield and around the terminal. With three runways, 12 taxiways, 3 ramps, multiple parking lots, and a 8 mile perimeter road - that's more than 30 miles of pavement. Staff spends more than 1,300 hours and 3,100 gallons of paint preparing and inspecting every inch in preparation for the upcoming fall - they have barely enough time from the first melt to the first snow fly to finish - oh my. |
