Delta's Online Baggage Tracking System
The new online service at Delta.com allows passengers to follow their checked bags from scanning at check-in, to the flight they're loaded on, and then to arrival at baggage claim. Using a unique tracking number, passengers can track their luggage online or through mobile telephone applications. Members of the Delta SkyMiles program can sign up for on-the-fly updates which will provide alerts about the status of their baggage. For more info visit DELTA.

2011 Full Scale Exercise
  
The Dane County Regional Airport was the scene of an aircraft disaster
exercise on Tuesday, June 14th when airport officials, law enforcement agencies, Dane County emergency responders, the Red Cross and many other state, county and local agencies staged a mock incident to test their ability to respond.
Over 300 volunteers, emergency responders, military personnel, and airport staff participated in this very important exercise.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires disaster exercises to be held every three years to ensure emergency personnel can act quickly and effectively. Officials used this exercise to focus on testing communications, victim rescue, firefighting capability and how different agencies work together. View the photos HERE! |

Frontier Airlines -- ANIMAL TAILS
Frontier Airlines uses a unique motif for marking aircraft. Frontier is the first air carrier to debut wildlife photography on the vertical stabilizers and winglets of the aircraft to produce a distinctive look, touted in their slogan: "A Whole Different Animal".
Each animal on the tail of a Frontier Airlines Airbus and Lynx Aviation Q400 has a name and a unique story, the most famous being "Larry the Lynx," "Grizwald the Bear," "Jack the Rabbit", "Flip the Dolphin", "Hector the Sea Otter", and "Jim, Joe, Jay, and Gary the Penguins. When Frontier was promoting its New Mexico service, the airline launched its "Send Flip to Mexico" campaign, and Frontier's "Denver's Favorite Animal" campaign continues to shine attention upon their popular tails.
