ABILENE, Kan. -  The 35th Infantry Division Band Kansas Army National Guard will perform a concert on Monday, June 18 at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The concert is free and open to the public.

The performance will include military marches, patriotic music, big band selections and a special salute to veterans and their families. Visitors should bring their lawn chairs.

The Kansas Army National Guard Band is based in Olathe, Kan., and has several different performing units. The band has performed throughout the Midwest and on two tours to the East Coast and three international tours. All members are part-time citizen soldiers that come from a variety of work environments in their full-time careers.

"We are pleased to have the 35th Infantry Division Band perform on our grounds," said Karl Weissenbach, Director, Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. "The outdoor event is a great way for families to enjoy a summer evening of patriotic music," he added.

The concert is presented by the Citizen Soldiers of the Kansas Army National Guard Band, Chief Warrant Officer Stephen J. Patterson, Commander.
