Smithsonian's "Elvis at 21" Exhibit to Open
at Eisenhower Presidential Library

ABILENE, Kan. - Slick your hair back and dust off those poodle skirts! Elvis is in the building at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The Smithsonian traveling exhibit "Elvis at 21, Photographs by Alfred Wertheimer" is on display April 7 through July 1, 2012.

This stunning exhibit features intimate photographs taken in 1956 of a young man soon to be known around the world and forever live on as "The King of Rock 'n Roll." Several Elvis related programs are scheduled in conjunction with this exhibit.
Everyone is invited to rock the night away on the grounds of the Eisenhower Presidential Library on Friday, April 13. The King of Rock 'n Roll is back and letting the good times roll. Elvis Tribute Artist Joseph Hall's performance will have you turning back time to the 1950s when Ike was President.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. on the grounds of the Eisenhower Presidential Library campus. Admission is by donation and everyone is encouraged to wear 1950s attire. Bring your lawn chairs and your dancing (saddle) shoes! In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Abilene High School gymnasium. In addition to the concert, an exclusive "Meet and Greet" reception with Joseph Hall begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Library Building Courtyard. Space is limited. Cost is $20 each. Reception includes refreshments and photo opportunity. Reserve now by mailing a check payable to Eisenhower Library, P.O. Box 339, Abilene, Kan. 67410, attn: Elvis Program. The deadline for reservations is Friday, April 6.
