ABILENE, Kan. - U.S. Attorney for Kansas, Barry Grissom, will be at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum on Thursday, Nov. 17, for a Kansas Town Hall meeting. The public is invited to attend the program scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Visitors Center Auditorium.
Nominated by President Obama in April 2010, Grissom was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in August 2010 to be U.S. Attorney, District of Kansas. A graduate of the University of Kansas and the Oklahoma City University School of Law, he leads an office of 49 Assistant U.S. Attorneys and 53 support staff working in offices in Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City, Kan.
Grissom will present an overview of the mission of the U.S. Attorney's Office. His law enforcement priorities for the U.S. Attorney's office include national security, violent crime, drug trafficking, financial fraud and crimes against children.
This program is part of the Kansas Town Hall program at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The goal of Kansas Town Hall is to increase citizen participation and understanding of the democratic experience. These programs allow Kansans to engage in important policy issues.
