ABILENE, Kan. - A special Eisenhower Administration 50 year retrospective program on the history of spy technology will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Visitors Center Auditorium.
Robert W. (Bob) Wallace, a 32-year Central Intelligence Agency career employee, who earned a B.A. in History from Ottawa University and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas, will present, "Spy Technology: The History Major's Perspective." His program is based on personal professional experience and research that led to publication of "Spycraft: The Secret History of the CIA's Spytechs from Communism to al-Qaeda" and "The Official CIA Manual of Trickery and Deception."
Wallace's presentation will include projected images and slides, and he will show some authentic spy gadgets and unique concealments. Copies of his "Spycraft" book will be available for purchase and an autograph session will follow the program.

This program is part of the 50 year retrospective on the Eisenhower Administration in conjunction with the "Eisenhower: Agent of Change" temporary exhibit, on display through Jan. 29, 2012. To supplement the exhibit, many public programs, including a film series, are scheduled throughout the year. To see the event schedule, visit www.eisenhower.archives.gov or become a fan on Facebook.
