Sculptures Punctuate the Gardens

Garden CafeMore than two dozen sculptures are nestled throughout the trails and gardens at the Arboretum this summer. A brochure is available in the EEVC, detailing the various artists and their work, along with a map to help visitors find them.

"Goose and Little Boy," by Lidiya Berezovsky, is on the patio right in back of the EEVC, for up-close inspection. Made of marble and bronze, it is a JCCC sculpture department 2010 student sculpture winner.

Vision

"Vision," by Zac Donald, is another JCCC sculpture department 2010 student sculpture winner. Made of steel and concrete, this whimsical piece is sure to delight young and old.

Garden Cafe"Garden Gourd" is a large ceramic piece by professional potter Danny Meisinger, who fell into ceramics accidentally due to a high school scheduling conflict. Over the course of his career his work has evolved from small, functional pieces into the large sculptural forms he does today.

The sculptures will be on display until October 1 and may be purchased as tax-deductible donations to the City's art collection.
