As some of you have probably already heard, we're putting together another CLEAN Team Clean-Up, this time in preparation for next week's Watermelon Festival.  We're going to be meeting at 8am next Thursday, August 12th at Sunland Park.  The focus will be picking up trash in the park, raking up leaves, etc.  If we have the people-power and folks feel inclined, we can also expand to the surrounding sidewalks and gutters.  See flyer for more details.  **Hosted by Council District 2.

"DENIAL" FOR 80 ft. BROADBAND APPLICATION IN SCENIC CORRIDOR
80' WTF Example
Tom Glick, the City Planner who heard the case at the Aug. 2 public hearing will recommend denial of the application. His determination letter is due out next week.  It then goes before the North Valley Area Planning Commission on Thursday, Sep. 16, 4:30 p.m. in Van Nuys.  Several neighbors took time off work to participate in this hearing.  Thank you also goes to Daniel Brumer, Planning Deputy for Councilman Paul Krekorian spoke in opposition to the 80 ft. proposal.
