Next Steps: Follow up to Stakeholder Event
The LBA has been working closely with West Lothian Council since the Minister for Enterprise, Jim Mather, addressed a wide community audience in autumn of last year to discuss how we secure a prosperous Linlithgow for the next twenty years. To date, a series of strategic partnership meetings have been held to analyse findings from the event, and a proposed action plan has been created. This proposed action plan must now be addressed by the wider community, and funds have been provisionally allocated to deliver the initial stage of this wider community debate. The first step is to create a structured partnership organisation that meets regularly to debate fund allocation and detailed projects. All areas of our community need to be represented in this partnership. Topics will include planning, transport, heritage, and tourism, economic, residential, environmental and business issues.
A website and local PR campaign are being launched this month to encourage participation in this process over the coming weeks. As soon as you receive information about this please actively promote the website to all clients and customers, colleagues and neighbours. It is vital that all aspects of our community are given the opportunity to get involved. We look forward to bringing you progress reports, and, if wide support is demonstrated, funds will be released sooner to begin work on delivering a secure and prosperous future for our community.

Paul Gavin Photography has been established in Linlithgow since 2003, and until recent times Paul has concentrated his efforts in building a growing list of satisfied Wedding and Corporate clients. Paul regularly photographs weddings, corporate events, black tie events & company conferences throughout Scotland, and is regularly called upon to photograph golf events throughout the UK.
Paul Gavin Photography has become a well known local brand & the company's services have now been extended to include family portraiture with the opening of a new studio in Linlithgow. The Studio is conveniently located in Braehead Road Industrial Units, opposite Linlithgow Rose Football Club, and Paul is available by appointment for family, couples and children's portraits.
In recent years family portraiture has grown out of that staid old idea of brown backgrounds and formal poses, and now you are more likely to find Paul taking photographs of children running around or relaxed family images in his studio. To read more click here. |

We've all become a lot more 'green' in recent years. These days we generally understand the meaning of the terms 'bio-diversity' and 'fragile eco-system'. We understand, for example, that if a small creature such as a wee snail is allowed to die out in an area of 'habitat', it can lead to a loss of snail-eating birds, for example, and a food-chain reaction causes an un-natural skewing of the eco-system in favour of one type of creature over another. Ultimately an out-of-balance eco-system is destined for self-destruction.
I was musing on this scenario last week whilst attending the Council's Development Control Committee meeting to discuss a current planning application. During the meeting an 'objector', a local resident, put forward the suggestion that all non-retail businesses should be encouraged to relocate away from centre of Linlithgow to make room for more shops. HYPNOTHERAPY & NLP FOR STRESS IN DIFFICULT TIMES |
Many people are put off trying Hypnotherapy because they fear they are handing over control or that they might "get stuck" in a trance. These are just two of the four most common fears that we Hypnotherapists put to rest as myth and reassure people about every day. Hypnotherapy is based on the theory that the "unconscious mind" is the data storage area which drives all our behaviours and habits. A Professional Hypnotherapist uses the mind's own natural ability to enter "trance" in order to help enhance a person's life by affecting unwanted habits, behaviours, thought patterns to help the client become more in control of their emotions. To read more about the wide range of issues that can be helped by Hypnotherapy and the special offers currently available, please click here or for more information contact Rae or John on 01506 830190 or see our website www.hypno-touch.com |
