Dear ,
Ah the holidays--filled with gifts, toys, chaos, laughter, stress, shopping, and loads and loads of photos! Where do your photos go after you bring them home from being developed? Do they remain in envelopes and get added to a stack of past photos waiting to be placed in a photo album? In a special holiday article, we've highlighted one way to address this problem, as well as a great way to organize toys that can be found in almost every child's possession.

A fantastic product on the market is the "Box4Blox." This marvelous invention ends the hassle of sorting Legos once and for all! Simply toss all the legos in the top, shake, and the Box4Blox will sort the pieces into four trays based on their size. Their site includes a demonstration video.
Have you discovered a great product for organization? Let us know and we'll feature it in a future issue of Conquering the Chaos!

Spotlight on...GREEN holidays!
Shopping for the holidays can be a daunting task, to say the least. Americans waste increases 25% during the holidays, so cutting corners may save more than you think. Before you make your next trip to the mall, map out a plan and reduce your overall impact this season. Follow these tips offered by Earth911.com:
- Make a List. Stick to your list and reject the carefully-constructed displays and sales that beg you to buy unnecessary items. A list also helps prevent an emergency trip for a forgotten item later.
- Patrol the Packaging. When possible, compare products and select the item with less packaging or packaging that is more easily recycled.
- Map the Trip. What way means the least amount of driving? Can you go to one store to find more than one gift?
- Gather Your Troops. As you gear up to save some money on holiday gifts, your friends and family may be planning to do likewise. Is there anyone who has a similar shopping agenda to yours? Carpooling is an excellent option to reduce carbon emissions and just have some fun fighting crowds with a companion.
- Pay it Forward. Shopping for presents doesn't need to entail purchasing physical gifts. Supporting a favorite charity or cause is a truly thoughtful alternative. If you're new to giving, groups such as Charity Navigator or the American Institute of Philanthropy can help you make informed decisions.
- Ship More for Less. Order multiple items that can be shipped together in one purchase to decrease packaging material and transportation costs. Shipping 10 pounds of packages by overnight air uses 40% less fuel than driving round-trip to the mall, according to the Center for Energy and Climate Solutions.

Maybe your Christmas lights were unorganized and too hard to locate quickly. Perhaps you procrastinated for several weeks when asked to put them up. And then, just about the time you finally got around to it, you saw the display shown at the site below. I saw it and decided not to compete and put my lights back in the box. Some people have WAY too much time on their hands. Nevertheless, enjoy!
