This project included setting up the Freedom Filer filing system for this busy mom of two boys!  While Organized Chaos does not exclusively use particular products or systems, we do try to ensure we are using the most efficient and cost-friendly system available.  Visit the "Service Providers" page on our website to find information on our current preferred vendors.
E-mail Needs Organized Too!

You may be one of those people whose pantry foods are separated into labeled sections and your children's toys are sorted into colorful see-through bins. But how many people have organized E-mail?  Chances are that your E-mail is filled with forwarded jokes from well-meaning friends or favorite recipes from Aunt Myrtle.  Some people avoid checking their E-mail just because of all the junk mail they receive daily.  Well don't dismay!  Here are some tips to organizing the E-mail chaos in your life:
  1. When possible, delete in bulk. Many providers such as Yahoo or MSN allow you to select all the E-mails you know are "junk" and then choose to delete them immediately.
  2. For the E-mail that you choose to open and read, don't close it without taking some course of action. E-mails can be organized by creating folders within your E-mail account. For example, if it's a joke that you want to keep, move it to a folder titled "Jokes". If it's a recipe that you know you'll never make, delete it! The goal is to make a decision quickly and act on it. Otherwise, your chances increase for that E-mail to be forgotten.
  3. Respond to requests for information quickly. By tending to the situation right away, you save time spent re-reading the E-mail later. You also save the time of those who are waiting for your response.
