WARNING RECEIVED re: AGGRESSIVE DOGS
(Dear e-News)
I dont have everyone's address - so please pass this along - over the past couple of weeks we've had interactions with a group of rough dogs - they are very aggressive and appear around dusk and dissappear (or so it seems) around dawn. Some have collars - others do not - though they may be harmless pets with their owners, they are behaving as a pack when we see them - an aggressive pack. They were growling, snapping and fighting at my front stoop this am at 5ish. They appear to be two gold/yellow dogs, simliar to a yellow lab or retrieiver, a black pit bull appearing dog, one that looks like a doberman, and one that looks like a german shepard -though none appear pure bred. All are large dogs. I am contacting animal control but I only see the dogs at dark - and animal control only works in day time - they chased my 15 yr old son - and you all know he's a big guy - so be on the lookout and watch the kids!

TRAVIS COUNTY JOINS WITH VILLAGE OF VOLENTE IN OPPOSING LEANDER'S PLANS TO DISCHARGE TREATED SEWAGE INTO LAKE TRAVIS On Tuesday, Oct. 27th, the Travis County Commissioners Court unanimously passed a resolution opposing the lifting of the ban on discharging treated sewage effluent into the Highland Lakes. Similar resolutions have been passed by Village of Volente, City of Lakeway, Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce, Volente Neighborhood Association, Lakeway MUD and WCID #17.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is expected to rule on the petition submitted by Leander and Granite Shoals on November 18th. Protect Lake Travis Association urges area residents and businesses to let their elected representatives and the TCEQ know they oppose the lifting of these important protections.
