Protect Lake Travis Association Meeting - Saturday |
|
The Protect Lake Travis Association will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, June 27, 2009 in the Town Hall Room of the Travis County West Service Center. The address is 4501 FM 620N just south of the Mansfield Dam (map). The meeting will start at 2PM.
The featured speakers will be:
John Wedig, LCRA water quality studies supervisor, who will speak about the newly completed Modeling study and how Lake Travis water quality would be affected if wastewater discharge were once again permitted in the lake,
and
Mark Jordan, LCRA's Manager, River Management Services, who will speak about anticipated lake levels and the status of available water for people in the Colorado River basin.

Anderson Mill Gardeners' Market Day - Sunday |
Sunday June 28, 1-5pm
Sunday we celebrate the peak of growing season with our 2nd annual Gardeners' Market. Homegrown Vegetables, Fresh yard eggs, local artists. Lace makers will be demonstrating tatting. Tables will have ceramics, jewelry, wood art carved and painted, handmade textiles, and lots of garden goodies.
We are looking forward to meeting depression era San Antonio artist Gladys Glover. She is donating her original oil painting of the old Anderson Mill to our collection.
The quilt top is done and we are ready to sell tickets.
Bring your shopping baskets and your egg cartons and enjoy our new AC system.
The regular Museum and Mill tours begin at 2PM

Important Public Meeting with TCEQ on Tuesday |

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is holding a public meeting for comments on increasing the amount of water Leander will get for an inter-basin transfer from 6,400 AFY to 24,000 AFY. Please come and voice your concerns.
