The Volente Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for opening and closing the signs in conjunction with the burn bans. Residents and owners are responsible for complying with all bans - regardless of sign postings - and for complying with all rules and regulations regarding outdoor burning. Remember that even when a county-wide ban is not in effect, weather conditions may prohibit burning on any given day.
