To burn in the Volente Fire District, you must first fill out a burn permit (no cost). The Volente Fire Department will come out and inspect your proposed site. We ask that you call us at least 3 or 4 days before you want to burn. The purpose of this visit is help ensure that the residents understand the guidelines for burning in the District and to assist the resident in having a safe burn site.   After you receive your permit, you are required to confirm with the Fire Department each day that you wish to burn.  This is to confirm that conditions are favorable for that particular day.
