Max is Missing - Reward Offered

 "Max", a male cocker spaniel about 1.5 years old, has been missing from the West Drive / Lime Creek Road area for several days. The loving owners are quite upset and offering a $500 reward for the safe return of Max.

Two Fireworks Bans Now in Effect

rockets and missiles bannedDue to the continuing high fire danger, Travis County commissioners have issued a county-wide ban on sale, possession or use of fireworks with "sticks and fins" - that is, skyrockets with sticks and missiles with fins. Violations are punishable with a $500 fine.
 
Further, the Village of Volente has issued a ban on all fireworks within the Village limits.
 
We continue to be in a serious drought situation with a county-wide outdoor burning ban also in effect. 
 
Enjoy the season but be very careful with all fires and obey all of the bans which are in effect.
