Because they believed Art

Dear friends,
EmGreenGlasses
Please join me for Healing Times Radio this month on February 4th and February 18th as I welcome my guests, Carolyn Voss and Patt Lind Kyle. You are going to love these interviews!

On February 4th
, in honor of Black History Month, Carolyn Voss will be on my show. You will find the interview interesting for two reasons . . . her personal discoveries and the documentary movie she is currently working on. The movie is entitled Because They Believed, and is a historical documentary that delves into the forgotten stories of African American athletes that have changed the face of sports.  It's a history of personal struggles, perseverance, and accomplishment that spans more than 200 years. The music is written by 6-time Grammy Award winner Skyler Jett and Executive Producer, Danny Glover.  Carolyn and I will be discussing both the movie, and her personal discoveries while researching it. Carolyn is from a Caucasian background, and knew relatively little about African Americans until the film. What she discovered about this race of people, and how it impacted her suggests how education can shine light into dark areas of the mind and create healing.

February 18th my guest is Patt Lind Kyle, author of Heal Your Mind, Rewire Your Brain, and she'll be talking about neuroplasticity, the ability for the brain to create new connections and even grow new cells. We will also explore the various brain states we can enter, and what these different states can enable us to do. The fact is that you can teach your old brain new tricks! We will discuss how to apply this new science in practical ways, to re-pattern our behavior, and counteract what the Buddha called "suffering" and modern psychologist call "stress."

Warmly,

Emmett Miller MD
