| Dale Steenbergen honored as the Cheyenne Board of Realtors 2011 Business Person of the Year! | | |
Dale Steenbergen, President and CEO of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, was honored today at the Cheyenne Board of Realtors meeting as the Cheyenne Board of Realtors 2011 Business Person of the Year! The task of the Cheyenne Board of Realtors Business Person of the Year Committee is to select an individual who has served our community in some special ways, including: service to the community, local employment, economic development and, overall enhancement of our community. According to the Cheyenne Board of Realtors, Dale was chosen due to his involvement with FE Warren Air Force Base and the Chamber of Commerce's contributions towards keeping their mission funded to the fullest extent possible, the work that he has done to help acquire improved facilities for the men and women there, as well as his work with the Governor to be the first state to weigh in on the START treaty with the Obama administration. Dale is a member of the Cheyenne Rotary, a CFD mounted marshal volunteer, and a CFD PR volunteer. He currently serves as the incoming chair of the Wyoming Chamber Partnership, on the board of directors of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation Board, and as a member of the Laramie County Fair Board. The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Committee has several upcoming Red Carpet Openings to welcome new businesses to the Chamber.
This morning, we hosted a Red Carpet for Doggie Do-Right,
Marchia Johansen, Owner.
Let Marchia Johansen, Certified Canine Educational Instructor, help your dog become a polite and respected member of the family. Marchia can help you learn to enjoy the best in your dog. She will work with you to solve your dog's specific behavior problems and/or train beginning to advanced obedience using positive reinforcement methods that build your dog's trust and confidence. You will learn easy-to-implement techniques that fit your specific needs with a non-judgemental instructor.
Next Wednesday, August 17th, we will be hosting a Red Carpet for Cheyenne Memorial Chapel in conjunction with their Grand Opening. The Grand Opening will be from 2:00 - 7:00 pm at 2222 Russell Ave in Cheyenne and the Red Carpet will be at 4:15 pm. Stop in for refreshments and tours of the new facility.
At Cheyenne Memorial Chapel, they believe that they play an important role in guiding families to create meaningful, personalized, celebrations of life. They feel privileged to serve the families in this community, as their family funeral home, and they promise to provide the best in caring, compassionate and personalized service. Cheyenne Memorial Chapel will offer several different types of services, enabling families to memorialize their loved one with a funeral or memorial service, utilizing burial or cremation. Their professional staff will be available to meet with and assist families in creating a special ceremony to reflect the life of a a loved one. |

The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Cheyenne Young Professionals is hosting a golf tournament on Friday, September 9th at the Airport Golf Course. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate! If you are interested in sponsoring or participating in this event, please contact the Chamber.

Cheyenne Young Professionals is part of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. | Sierra Trading Post Selected for 'SBA 100' | | |

Sierra Trading Post was recently designated at an 'SBA 100' company. 'SBA 100' features one hundred businesses that have created at least 100 jobs since receiving SBA assistance. "Sierra Trading Post represents the best in American business practices," said Dan Hannaher, SBA Regional Administrator. "By effectively investing its initial financing, the company has grown to become a premier job producer in the state of Wyoming."
