| American Eagle Airlines Begins Their Second Year of Service in Cheyenne | | | It has been one year since American Eagle Airlines began their nonstop jet service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Cheyenne. These flights have brought many visitors to our community while at the same time providing local businesses and personnel from F.E. Warren Air Force Base and the Wyoming National Guard convenient connections to destinations throughout American's global network. The Chamber would like to congratulate American on their first year and we look forward to many prosperous years to come! |
| Update on Niobrara Oil Drilling in Laramie County | | | The number of drilling rigs in Laramie County is down slightly this week from 5 operating rigs to 2. This is for the most part due to the fact that many oil companies are waiting for updated seismic maps that show the underground Niobrara formation before they are able to commit to more extensive operations. Much of Laramie County was mapped out this spring by Global Geophysical Services but it will take time before the 3-D seismic maps are analyzed and sold to the oil companies. |
