EMPLOYER COST REDUCTION TIPS

How Associations Use Workers' Comp Kit Gap Analysis

    Trinity Gap Analysis

Forty-five members of an association took their best practice assessment. The association management met as a group to review the results and saw that 60% of the members had a National WC Management Score (NWCMS) lower than 50 which meant many members needed to improve their internal best practices. The association wanted to help.

They reviewed the Gap Analysis which compiles all member results; management discussed which best practices had the lowest levels of implementation. Some things were simple to correct. For example, 60% of members did not have a book about WC Cost Containment, so the association ordered "Manage Your Workers Comp" for all members.

Some things needed to be addressed with education. 80% did not send frequent safety messages and many did not have a transitional duty program. Association Management is now providing a webinar to address these best practices; webinar content is based upon needs identified in the Gap Analysis. All members are using www.WorkersCompKit.com online tools.
