We extend a warm welcome to the Special Education/Student Services staff that has moved to the District Office at 5115 Dudley Avenue.
 
Our district has received a $359,996 grant from the US Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Police Services (COPS) to enhance school safety by improving security in schools and on school grounds.  The funds will be used to improve our surveillance camera system.  Currently over 350 cameras are monitored 24 hours a day.  Read more from the NatomasBuzz.

For those who teach a combination class, please note that the Curriculum and Academic Achievement Department is offering "Combination Class Open Forums" to allow you to share ideas, strategies, curriculum/instruction successes and management strategies to make Combination Classes operate successfully.  The next Combination Class Forum will be Monday, November 2 from 4 to 5 pm at the District Office in the Walnut Room, Bay A.  Register here.  If you're not sure how, ask your site's Tech Ex or contact Jo Baker.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Sharon Read (Munz) who passed away recently.  She taught for 39 years, mostly at Northwood Elementary.  Mrs. Munz will be missed.
