SMUD (Sacramento Municipal Utility District) presented Twin Rivers with a $98,020 rebate check which was the result of the implementation of Power Management solution software.  Many thanks to Tim Bonds of Facilities and Jerome Day and Jeremy Briggs of Technology Services for their hard work in putting this energy conservation measure in place.

This summer, our district has employed over 50 (subsidized) student interns through the Summer Youth Employment Program.  Students are working in a variety of positions including technology, clerical and maintenance.  Click here to view the Sacramento Bee story.

Many thanks to the 295 AmeriCorps members who painted, planted trees and cleaned up district facilities at 17 different sites.  Special thanks to the Sacramento Tree Foundation and the Twin Rivers Grounds Department, painters and Nutrition Services for supporting their efforts.

Congratulations to all the negotiations team members and TRUE (Twin Rivers United Educators) on the ratification of their contract.  Click here for the Sacramento Bee story.  In addition, the TRPOA (Twin Rivers Police Officers Association) contract has been passed by its members and approved by the Board of Trustees.
