In these times of uncertainty about the economy, our next president, gas prices, think about this quote before making your next knee jerk reaction to a current event.
"Nothing gives one person so much advantage over another as to remain
cool and unruffled under all circumstances."

Greetings!
Phase 1 of our renovation has finally been completed and we now have our new cardio room up and running. Many other areas are still in a temporary state, including the new M.A.T. area (phase 2) which is currently under construction. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this second phase is going to be louder and more invasive than the first, but when complete, will allow the former two-table M.A.T. room to become a four-table area. This renovation is also allowing us to bring back our group class room and some highly anticipated yoga offerings will start with other classes to follow. Read below to learn about the yoga classes starting in November! |

Pumpkin Apricot Bread It would not feel like fall without making
something out of pumpkin. This recipe is a terrific way to start autumn
and try something different for Halloween or Thanksgiving.
Pumpkin Apricot bread is a very
moist and delicious bread and a great way to help your family get a serving of a
fruit and vegetable at the same time. Also, there is no doubt that if you are

The Bottom Line

Options at Good Bodies for a slower economy.
While we wait for the economy to stabilize and start to grow again, many of us are looking for ways to cut down our discretionary expenses. This may mean cutting back on latte's at the local Starbucks or buying a hybrid car instead of an SUV. We all know, though, that fitness and wellness in the minds of a Good Bodies Trainer is not discretionary, but mandatory.
When finances get tough, there are many options available at Good Bodies to keep you on track towards your fitness / stress relief goals without having to stop your fitness program altogether .
- Cut back from 1-hour sessions to 45 min. or 1/2 hour sessions.
- Keep the same 1-hour, 45 min. or 1/2 hour session, but drop down to just once a week as opposed to multiple times a week. (This option will take some extra motivation on your part to get in the workouts on your own)
- Use the Good Bodies Membership option. This 3, 6, or 12 month membership to Good Bodies allows you to use the facility on your own and meet with your trainer for 1-hour, once a month, to have a program designed for your use that month. When you see your trainer again for your second month session, your trainer will be able to update the program and progress it as necessary.
- Refer a friend - Every time you refer a friend to Good Bodies and they purchase a package of sessions, you receive a complimentary session.
And the # 1 option by many Good Bodies staff and clients:
- Train with a friend - Shared sessions are available for you and a friend or family member to work with the same trainer which will keep the cost lower by sharing the price. This is also a great way to make the workouts more enjoyable and keep you more accountable.
The one thing we do know at Good Bodies is that exercise, when done
consistently, will lead to a reduction in stress that leads to a
decrease in your blood pressure, and lessens your chances for
developing heart disease, cancer and/or stroke. When you are stressed about your finances or profession, that is the best time to focus on yourself and reduce your stress through a well designed exercise program.
Please contact Good Bodies at 889-2282 and speak with your trainer, Greg, or Jack about these options.
