fabulous instructors and great camaraderie. Instructors included a former Texas A&M rifle team member and former security detail for 3 Texas governors. How great could it get! Lots of Diva door prizes, industry vendors, and a great al fresco lunch served at the beautiful Austin Gun Club facilities completed the perfect day.
Future DIVA/WOW events are being planned and will include fishing clinics, outdoor sports instruction, indoor speakers and happy hours. To be included on our mailing list, please email Drew at drew.parham@sbcglobal.net Exciting events are coming to Central Texas!

Hill Country DIVA update

Well ladies I just wanted to give you a quick update as to how the clinic on Saturday went.

We had 18 women show up and 4 instructors and I heard nothing but good things. The area was filled with whoops and yells of excitement and accomplishments. By the end of the clinic all of the ladies were hitting clays and many were hitting doubles, it was fantastic!!! Many women were surprised how well they did when they were instructed by another person versus told what to do by their spouses, boyfriends, brothers, etc. I do have to apologize, at the end, some of the ladies packed up their guns so quickly that I did not get a group picture :( but I have tons of shots from the ladies shooting with their instructors. At the end of the clinic we had people asking about when the next event will be and what it will be. So with that said, next month I will plan a happy hour and see if I can get a group going down here.

I had a blast, I know the attendees did, and I think the instructors had a good time too (Deb Wardlaw had a couple of drinks with us afterwards...she is a hoot!). Thank you so much for all the help and support. I will send all the paperwork and monies to the appropriate people in a few day, I have a Ducks Unlimited fundraiser on Thursday that I am helping with so my time is split right now.

LSBA (Lone Star Bowhunters Association) members provided instruction in beginning archery in conjunction with DIVA WOW on May 19th @ the Cabela's in Allen. We had 23 ladies of all ages attend. A good time was had by all. Several ladies left the class looking for a new bow! That's why we do these things. Special thanks to the guys who instructed: Bill James, LSBA Vice President, Scott Abbott, LSBA, Brandon Rogers, LSBA ( & DIVA Dude), &  Steve Cisneros of Cabela's. Big thanks to Cabela's of Allen for providing the facilities. Most of all to LSBA for the use of our region's equipment.
LSBA banquet will be held in College Station, more information can be found here.

NEW DIVA Event
California DIVAS

76_Sailing76_DoubleTrouble
Northern California DIVA Schuyler Morgan has put together a Woman's Sailing Seminar in the San Francisco Bay area on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday October 7.  Cost is $300 for both days, see attached document for a description of the event.  Contact Schuyler for more information.  Space is limited and price does not include airfare and accommodations

Why did Schuyler Morgan become a DIVA?
I was not born a DIVA, but born to be one.

How long have you been a DIVA?
I became a proud Divalicious DIVA in 2005

How did you learn about the DIVAS?
It was Judy Rhodes' passion that made me want to join. I met her at a SHOT Show in Reno, Nevada when I was serving as the Board Chair of the Silk and Steel Foundation: a foundation recognizing the highly significant accomplishments of women in the fields of hunting, shooting sports, firearms commerce and the military and enhancing opportunities for future achievements. Judy was one of the outstanding women joining me as a director of this prestigious group.

What have the DIVAS done for you, what does being a DIVA mean to you?
DIVAWOW has raised the spirits, developed confidence and liberated the hearts of many women thru outdoor sports. Their highly skilled and passionate instructors don't teach; they provide an inviting and engaging "learning" interactive learning experience. They know what's required to know for the enjoyment of any outdoor sport. For example, you must know your equipment and the rules of the game, proper attire and sports etiquette, safety because your life and the lives of others depend on it and practice makes perfect. Spending time with a group of passionate DIVAS has helped me find my voice, relax into the experience and have a heck of a good time doing so. It has changed my life and my behavior at every touch point that counts. They've helped me find my "DIVAtude" when it counts. That has made my world simply "DIVAlicous". What more can you ask for?

How have you managed being a DIVA being in California?
It's easy...just do it! Be a DIVA in your field and with the proper "DIVAtude" it only gets better and scales from there. They say that if you want to know what your future will be, create it...be it. So that is what I have done in a State that lends itself to outdoor sporting pleasures. I look forward to being the catalyst that will attract an enthusiastic group of women eager to set the world on fire, due in part to their personal achievements in sports.

How can the DIVAS help you?
Learning a sport builds character. Being an active sportswoman reveals character by showing up as a well informed, strong, focused, success driven woman with a winning spirit. The DIVAs can help me by partnering with me in creating successful sporting events, building a strong chapter of DIVAWOW in Northern California, and by teaming with me in the marketing, promotion, creation and organization of events that will attract woman's joy of outdoor sports worldwide, beginning with the Northern California Women's Sailing Seminar Oct. 6-7th in the San Francisco Bay Area. Let's make this event a media darling that will set the tone for many more outdoor sporting adventures for women to enjoy. For now, come sail with me and feel a rapture of being one with your boat gliding thru the water as you gaze at the majestic Golden Gate Bridge. Thru sailing, you will become the "Skipper of Your Life", embrace physical fitness, mental alertness, and spiritual well being. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in California! Welcome aboard...Schuyler Morgan

Reports are coming in and being delivered to manufactures, allowing the DIVAS to Beta test is a testament to the excellent quality these manufactures strive to release. Upcoming products include: laser sight, handgun holsters and outdoor clothing. Our Founder Judy Rhodes has blazed the trail for DIVAWOW to be the "Go To" group for thorough testing.  As Judy would say, "What can we do for you?"
