VBS, M25 and Angel Tree Ministries Thank You Vacation Bible School Volunteers! Last week witnessed over 750 children, over 250 teen helpers and 125 adult leaders working together for the Cause of Christ. Everyday, they learned to DEPEND ON GOD as they DARED TO CARE for each one who came to Operation Overboard. It was a wonderful week full of games on the fields, in the gym, plus crafts and lots of singing. Smiles were everywhere! Our next Vacation Bible School begins July 9 through July 13, 9:30 to 12:30!
Our M25 Camp is off and running. This week, there are 44 students from Alabama and Virginia working with our staff under Gabe Barrett's direction ministering to the homeless. These students are sleeping in the gym and working under the bridges. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.
The Cobb County Foster Support Meeting was held last week in Marietta. During the meeting, Mt. Bethel was recognized as the leading provider for the children's Christmas gifts. Mt. Bethel's Angel Tree ministry has a tremendous impact on the children in foster homes. Often, Christmas time is a negative time of the year for the children in neglect because not only do they miss out on receiving gifts, but they often do not get an opportunity to learn the true joy of Christmas. It's amazing how the Angel Tree Ministry of Mt. Bethel is leading children to Christ through the foster care ministry. We appreciate every one who volunteers and gives through this powerful ministry. If you are interested in learning more about Mt. Bethel's Foster Care Ministry, please contact the Church Office, or Jeff McKisson.

Help Georgia's Severely Abused Kids - Murphy-Harpst Children's Center is a non-profit organization that provides abused children with behavioral therapy, healthcare and educational services to give them a real chance at life. Each child arrives with his or her own tragic story. Most have suffered extreme emotional, sexual and physical abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Most have never had a stable place to live with consistent care and regular meals. Many arrive with all their worldly possessions in a single bag and have been declared unmanageable by the foster system. Murphy-Harpst exists because these children need our help. With our services, they can grow up to hold jobs, maintain relationships and become productive members of their communities. To make a donation, please make your checks payable to Mt. Bethel with "Murphy-Harpst" on the for line.
Habitat for Humanity - Road Race Sponsors Needed. Construction of Mt. Bethel's 32nd Habitat Home will begin in September. The October Habitat Road Race provides much of the funding for the Habitat homes we build. Please consider becoming a race sponsor (business, personal, small group, etc.). Depending on level of sponsorship each sponsor's name or logo will appear on the race t-shirt, all signage and race materials reaching thousands of Cobb County and metro Atlanta residents. Your support will help another deserving family escape poverty housing and realize their dream of home ownership. For more information please contact Ashley O'Neil at 770-314-0130 or springfield_ashley@yahoo.com.
