Foster Care Orientation, Wednesday, March 28, 6:30-8:00 in B116. Did you know that there are almost 300 kids in foster care in Cobb County? Mt. There will be a new Grief Support Group starting Tuesday nights beginning April 3, at 7pm in B106. This group is for anyone who has lost someone they love and wants to work through their grief in an informal setting. This group is open to anyone in the community. Men's Retreat will be held again this year at Amicalola Falls State Park, May 4 & 5. Speakers this year are Rick Bonfin of Rick Bonfin Ministries and our own Kelly Brumbeloe. Help Camp Kesem at UGA! Camp Kesem is a national non-profit organization that provides a free summer camp experience for children whose parents have been affected by cancer. UGA is actively seeking campers for its first session, which will be held July 22-27 at the Athens YWCO Camp in Clarkesville, GA. Camp is completely free of charge for eligible children (ages 6-13). Preparing for Middle School! There will be small peer groups forming this spring for girls and boys (separate groups) who are entering middle school in the fall. The groups will be facilitated by a counselor and will cover various topics related to preparing for middle school. The groups are also a great way for soon-to-be middle schoolers to develop a support network with other rising middle schoolers. The groups will meet for four 1-hour sessions and some of the subjects to be covered will be peer pressure, study skills, body image, self-esteem and bullying. Mom's Morning Out for children with special needs and their siblings, a service of Corrigan Care, Inc. When: 9:30am-12:30pm every Wednesday! Cost is $25 per child. If a child requires a nursing level of care during their morning with us, we will ensure that a nurse is present at no additional cost to you. Camp Friendship - a social skills summer camp held at Mt. Bethel, June 18-28 or July 9-19. It is for students who want to improve their social functioning in a fun & exciting environment. Camp is designed to help students through the use of direct instruction, role playing, discussion, modeling and participating in outdoor and indoor group games & activities. Mt. Bethel Nursery

The Mt. Bethel Nursery will be closed for Sunday night activities on April 1 and April 8 for Spring Break. Sunday night nursery will resume on April 15.
Children's Ministry
Vacation Bible School Registration has begun. June VBS is 11-15 from 12:30-3:30 and July VBS is 9-13 from 9:30-12:30. We have over 800 children participating in our VBS program each session and more than half are non-members. We need all adults & teens willing to serve to help us make this program happen. It is a wonderful way to serve at Mt. Bethel and model Christ to your children and others. Please prayerfully consider serving this year. Egg Collection for the Easter Egg Hunt has begun! If you have a child who is planning on attending the Egg Hunt Saturday, April 7, on the "Fields of Dreams," please bring one dozen prize-filled eggs for each child participating to Children's Ministry area by April 1. If you just want to help us out, you can bring plastic eggs or candy as well. We will be collecting over 4000 eggs for the children to hunt. Thank you ahead of time for your help for this day. Seniors - do you want to apply for college scholarships? Mt. Bethel has three scholarships for graduating seniors:
The Men of Mt. Bethel will again this year award two scholarships. The Infinger Scholarship will be in the amount of $2,500. The Mt. Bethel Men's Scholarship will be $1,000. Applications and instructions can be downloaded from the MB webpage. Applications can also be picked up at the Reception deck located at the main entrance. The deadline for submission is May 4. Both scholarships will be awarded at the 11 o'clock Baccalaureate Service on Sunday, May 20. Applications should be turned in to Men's Ministry office no later than May 4. High School Seniors - Applications for the Mt. Bethel Women's Circle $2,000 Scholarship, awarded to a senior girl, are available in the Church Office. College Ministry
Tuesday Night Bible Study 7:00pm at Gaylyn's house. We are studying 1 Timothy Ch. 3 this week.
We share music and a message with our sisters at the Garden at 7pm on Friday night.
We meet for Sunday Morning Bible Study at 9:30 in the CAC. We are currently studying the Book of Galatians. We hope to see you this week!
Recreation Ministry
Youth Spring Sports: Opening Day was Saturday, March 17. 131 teams with 1,250 athletes took the fields, led by over 200 coaches. Thank you for your generous donations to the local children's homes. You may still bring donations to the CAC this week. Concessions stand will be open on Saturdays selling snacks, drinks and lunch items and during the week selling drinks and snacks. The master practice/game schedule is also on the website at www.mtbethel.org/sportsregistration.
Picture Week: Pictures begin this Saturday, March 24 and continue through March 30. Your coach will tell you your picture time or you can view the picture schedule at www.mtbethel.org/sportsregistration.
Weather: In case of bad weather (including the day after bad weather) be sure to check the recreation update at www.mtbethel.org/rec and click on the sunshine icon to get any cancellations or reschedules due to field conditions.

Thompson-Sheffield Softball Tournament - May 12. A full day of fun, fellowship and bragging rights, benefitting Mt. Bethel Recreation! Round-robin format to start which guarantees every team at least three games. Must register as a team. Must be 19 or older to play and each team must have at least four females on their roster.
