A Shift is Coming: Sunday, February 26, 9:30am-12:00pm - We will have ONE Service in Two Locations followed by a free lunch. No Sunday School. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, student, single, divorced, remarried-whatever your home looks like-you'll want to join us at 9:30am in the Sanctuary or the Christian Activities Center (CAC - Gym) for a special service unveiling the "Shift" Mt. Bethel will be making in the way we do ministry. Please bring your middle school and high school students with you to the service. We also have a special program for your younger children. Please take them to the following locations for the entire service:

Ash Wednesday Services - February 22 at 7:30am, 12:00pm and 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be served at all three services. The sign of the cross is placed upon the forehead with ashes as a symbol of repentance during Communion. The sign of the cross is not removed during the day, allowing all who see it to know of the individual's acceptance of, and allegiance to, Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Troop 1011 Annual Pine Straw Sale - The 26th annual Boy Scout Troop 1011 Pine Straw Sale will be held on Saturday, March 3. The cost is $4.25 per bale with free delivery for orders of 10 bales or more. Orders of less than 10 bales can be picked up at the Church on the day of the sale. Orders must be placed by February 27. Bethel's Lenten Devotions are written by church members & the ministers to give you hope & encouragement through the Lenten Season. We provide a loving nursery from 8:30am to 12pm for $4 per hour, per child, with an $8 per hour family maximum. Volunteer at MtBethelCCS.com. The Mt. Bethel Nursery is in need of diapers, sizes 3, 4 and 5. If you have an extras, or you would like to make a donation, please drop these by the Nursery office during the week by 2:00 pm. You can also drop by on Wednesday evening or Sunday morning or evening. Thank you! The first West Virginia mission trip of the year is fast approaching. On Thursday, March 22, the team will leave Mt. Bethel for 3 nights serving in the impoverished Appalachia area of southern West Virginia. In the last 3 years, 16 teams from Mt. Bethel have made trips to West Virginia and much has been done--but much more remains. For most people, this has been their first mission trip ever. Active Senior Adults - Join us for the Passages Exhibit, Saturday, February 25 - 9:30-4:30pm - $20 plus lunch - This worldwide traveling exhibit allows people to experience the dramatic & insightful inner workings of the book that has altered history, shaped cultures, inspired minds & changed lives - the Bible. Visitors interact with The Green Collection, the world's largest private collection of biblical texts & artifacts under one roof. We will leave from the Fairfield parking lot at 9:30am. We depart Mt. Bethel at 4pm sharp. We eat a burger at US Café then meet our guides at The Garden. There is time for a quick tour for first timers. From The Garden we head out under the bridges. WE GO RAIN OR SHINE! Dress according to weather conditions. Wear comfortable shoes. If so led, bring socks, T-shirts, underwear, gloves, stocking caps, etc. to hand out. Music Ministry Crossfire and One A-Chord are back in the swing for 2012 - We are working towards a joint performance in April under the direction of Robert McMichael. Come and join and let your hearts sing! Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons. Crossfire meets from 4:00 -5:00 and One A-Chord meets 5:00-6:00. Bring a friend! Get Your Pecans Now! Pecans are reduced to $5 a bag. WE still have chocolate covered, pecan caramel clusters, glazed, cinnamon glazed, and fresh pecans. Aloha to Aging Alzheimer's/Caregiver Support Group Meeting: Monday, March 5, at10:30am. Open to family members who are assisting an aging loved one both inside and outside of the home. Free respite care is provided for your loved one while we meet, but must call in advance to 678-439-1177. Parkinson's Disease Support Group: Tuesday, March 6, 10:30am. Have you or a loved one been recently diagnosed with Parkinson's? You are not alone. You and your caregiver are welcome as we learn how to cope and live with the diagnosis. Helpful tips and resources provide comfort and encouragement. Bereavement Support Group: Tuesday, March 6, at 10am. Specifically for those that have lost an aging loved one. Alzheimer Early, Mid & Late Stage; Thursdays 11:00 - 1:00 - When someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other form of dementia, friends and family have many questions. As the disease progresses, new questions reflect growing needs for skills, programs and services. Join us for this series of programs that provide answers to the questions that arise in the early, middle and late stages of the disease.
