"Looking Back and Moving Forward"

God has blessed Mt. Bethel, even in these tumultuous times! Last year was a challenging year in many ways; however, our church has become stronger amidst the challenges. Our ministries are focused upon expanding the Kingdom of God, turning compassion into action through the power and presence of Jesus Christ. Mt. Bethel has provided compassionate, loving ministries to the "Least and Lost" in a multitude of ways, transforming and energizing this local Body of Christ. Over the past twelve months, we have sheltered, clothed, and fed over 1,000 homeless people. Hundreds of them have been ministered to by doctors, dentists, podiatrists, and nurses. The results of this powerful
outreach have blessed and encouraged everyone involved.

In addition to our local missions, Mt. Bethel has literally changed the lives of 800 (plus) orphans in Kenya. As our congregation adopted these precious children, God has enabled and empowered many of us, allowing our "hearts to be strangely warmed."

Here are the results of our willingness to "reach out and risk" in the name of Christ:

Membership January 1, 2011                                     8,794

    Additions:
Received from other United Methodist Churches      69
        Received from other denominations                          44
Received on profession of faith                                 234
                        Total Received      347

 Membership December 31, 2011                              9,024

Mt. Bethel continues to face financial challenges. We were blessed with a bump in giving in December and begin this January with a small surplus. Please remember that our fiscal calendar ends in June 2012. Our Commitment Sunday for the new fiscal year is March 25, 2012. The new budget will allocate 10% of the total pledged toward missions.

This is an exciting time to be in ministry. Being in ministry with each other is a true blessing! Together, with God's guidance, 2012 will be another exceptional year for growing His Kingdom.

                    God Bless You,
                    Randy Mickler, Senior Pastor
