                     "Go Team, Go!"

Last Sunday night's "Unto Him" benefit concert for our "M25 + Opening Our Doors" ministry was phenomenal! The music was superb, and the variety was most impressive. Our Chancel Choir, Youth Choirs, Orchestra, Praise Teams, Chuck, Robert, Debbie, Ira and lighting & sound crews and video teams were inspirational as they worked together perfectly. Melissa Green sings like an angel. The entire production was a powerful witness as to the good that can come when Christians work together! Thus far, $30,000 has been raised for the homeless ministry! Donations are still being accepted. Also, a limited amount of the DVD of the concert is for sale in the Bookstore, with all proceeds benefitting the homeless ministries.

Foster Family Ministry
You don't have to leave your home to serve "The Least and the Lost." No group better epitomizes the least and the lost than do foster children. There are currently over 300 children in foster care in Cobb County - and not enough foster homes to care for them. In the last 60 days, Mt Bethel's mission partner, FaithBridge Foster Care has received over 25 foster child referrals from Cobb County Department of Family and Children Services and there were no foster families to accept them. In the last four years, Mt Bethel families have provided foster homes to over 50 children.  We have had a significant impact in these children's lives. But we can do more.  We must do more as the number of children coming into foster care is increasing during these difficult economic times. These children are best served when placed in loving, nurturing, Christian homes and active church communities.  The Mt Bethel Foster Family Ministry prepares and supports families in their endeavor to serve these neglected children right here in Cobb County. The Foster Family Ministry will hold a Prayer and Planning meeting to explore how Mt Bethel can better respond to this critical need. If you are interested in earnestly praying for the foster children of Cobb County and our foster families, and interested in helping this ministry grow, please attend a Foster Care Prayer and Planning meeting on Thursday October 27, at 7:00pm  in B116.  Please call Wayne Stolz at 770-565-7521 or Julie Kirby at 770-656-6305 for further information about this important meeting.

Donate a Meal to a Camp Hope Family -Your generous donation of $50 will purchase a Christmas dinner for a Camp Hope family which will be given at the hope4christmas party.
