Mark your calendar for our "Fall Kick-Off Celebration" on Sunday, August 14. All worship services will be combined in the Sanctuary at 9:30 & 11:00. We will not have the 8:15 Chapel service or Encounter service. Our worship services for children (God's Garden, the P.O.D. and Kids Quest) will be back. Adults, students & children will have their Sunday School classes as usual. Instead of our normal breakfast, we will have a covered dish lunch in the Fellowship Hall immediately after each worship service. The church will provide pulled pork, buns, fruit, baked beans & drinks. We are asking each family to bring a dish that would serve 8-10 people as follows: If your last name begins with A - H, please bring a salad (fruit or green); For last names I - P, please bring a side dish (vegetable or casserole); For last names Q - Z, please bring a dessert. Please drop your dish off in the Fellowship Hall prior to worship. No lunch tickets are necessary. The shuttles from both Dickerson Middle School and Terrell Mill Park will run from 8:15-1:30 on August 14.
Homeless Ministry - we are inviting our homeless friends to come in for a night of relief from the heat and to have free dental treatment. On Thursday night, August 11, we need an army of servants to help out. Please stop by the table in the connector today and decide where you and your family can serve (set up the CAC with beds, be a host, help with serving a meal, or chaperone overnight). The Georgia Dental Association is hosting free dental treatments in Woodstock on August 12, so we will bring our homeless friends here on Thursday, feed them & provide a bed for the evening, then transport them to the dental clinic after breakfast. We would love to have fresh, clean T-shirts, underwear and socks for each guest. If you can donate any of those items, please drop them in the MUST barrels by August 11. We will donate every item received to our homeless guests and to MUST Ministry. For more information, please email randy.hudon@mtbethel.org; gaylyn.kelly@mtbethel.org or gabe.barrett@mtbethel.org.
