Volunteers - We need you! Vacation Bible School is just around the corner and we need volunteers to lead the children. Are you feeling the quiet nudge to help out? Please let us know that you are ready to join us for Shake It Up Café where Kids Carry Out God's Recipe! Dates are June 6-10 from 12:30-3:30. It takes over 120 adult volunteers to make VBS a success, please call and tell us you can help. We also need teen helpers. If you are a rising 7th grader you can be a part of VBS. Sunday May 29 is Promotion Sunday - All children ages 3-5th grade will move up to the class for the grade they will enter in the fall. Sunday School will be at 9:30 for all elementary students in the Education building. 3's and 4's will be in the C & D hallways at 9:30 and 11:00. God's Garden will continue after "Moments with the Minister" each week. Camp SPLAT will be our summer children's worship that will meet in F015 each week at 11:00. Rising 6th graders will go to the Upper Room at 9:30. Worship with your family at 11:00.

Homeless Ministry Visits Under the Bridges - Would you like to visit the homeless under the bridges in Atlanta? On Tuesday nights, June 7, July 19, August 9 & August 23, meet at the church at 4:00. Bring a case of water. We'll grab a burger at US Cafe, tour the Garden and pick up our guides and sack meals to distribute. We will be back at the church around 10:00pm. Wow, Mt. Bethel--you've done it twice! Care to make it three?? Full donation trailers have been taken to West Virginia by our mission teams in April and May. Can we do it once again before the next team leaves on June 23rd? Everything we take is absorbed into the poor West Virginia communities within days of arrival. The Hands of Hope trailer is located off the parking lot near the CAC. Most needed are any household items, working appliances, new toys/games, hygiene items, and of course both adult and children's clothing. Thanks for your generosity! Keep your donations coming! Questions? Contact Larry Armstrong or 678-457-7524. The Divorce Support Recovery Group will meet Wednesday nights at 6:30pm at Marlow's in the Merchant's Walk Shopping Center through August. Bethel Shuttle Schedule for the summer will begin June 5. Summer Shuttle Service runs 2 buses ONLY at Dickerson Middle School (the shuttle does not run at Terrell Mill) - normal Shuttle service will resume on August 14. Camp Friendship is a social skills camp for students who would like to improve their social functioning in a fun & exciting environment. Led by Gayle Born & Mary Jane Trotti, the sessions include managing emotions, teamwork, reading social cues, self-image, self-awareness and communications skills. The camp is held at Mt. Bethel. Bethel Day Care Center is currently enrolling Infants (ages 6 weeks -9 months) for full time childcare. If interested, please call the center at 678-560-8005. Summer Bible Studies - Register Online Nursery will be available for all summer Bible studies for children up to age 11. The nursery is free for children ages 4 and under. A nominal fee of $3 per child per event will be charged for children ages 5-11. NURSERY RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Contact Debbie Ruth at 770-971-2588. Staying in the Word Morning Study / 5-week study offered on Mondays & Wednesdays - Participants will examine and discuss scripture relating to various topics such as sin, grace and heaven. This class will be offered twice a week from 10:00am-12:00pm in room F026. You can pick which class is more convenient each week. The topic will be the same for both classes each week. The class schedule is as follows: Due to Memorial Day, the first Monday class will actually meet Tuesday, May 31. The other dates are June 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 & 29. Led by Millie Atkinson. They are only children for a moment and we need to capture each moment we can to teach them about God. Parents, did you know that you are the most influential person in your child's life? Why not lead by example and take a Sunday or two this summer to teach in Sunday School at 9:30 or volunteer in Children's worship at 11:00? Infusion - A camp for rising 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th graders | June 19-24 | Camp Evergreen at Lake Burton Infusion is a week-long camp that introduces students to morning devotions, family group time, peer to peer small groups, worship, and a message followed up with small group discussions by grade level. Students can also expect fun stuff like ziplines, canoes, lake blob, shaving cream, hiking, and slip n' slide. This summer we begin our gatherings with Mo Isom. Mo has an incredible testimony that includes triumphs from athletics to career opportunities as well as tragedies of great personal loss and battles from physical injuries. Mo shares how God held her and redirected her heart & focus when hope seemed like an impossibility. We are looking forward to a special night with Nic Slade and band leading us in worship and Mo sharing her heart. You don't want to miss out. ALL are welcome. Mt. Bethel UMC along with Sports-A-Rama will present our summer baseball camp. Camp instructors are comprised of former major and minor league players, current and former collegiate players and high school coaches. This camp will focus on players' mechanical and fundamental skills.

Bethel Christian Academy volleyball coaches Melissa Sneed and Brian Bergius will focus on the rules and fundamentals of volleyball while incorporating game play situations. MT. BETHEL NIGHT @ THE BRAVES! Join us Friday, June 17th. Braves vs Texas Rangers. Tickets are $15 and may now be purchased in the CAC. We will parade around the field before the game. Fireworks after the game. Everyone is welcome! YOUTH SPRING SPORTS - Thanks to all the coaches, parents and players for another wonderful season. Bethel Tornado Disaster Relief Update We are collecting donations in the CAC lobby to aid victims of the recent tornado disaster.
