A Heart for Local Missions? St. Philip has an excellent opportunity to serve. We have over 70 children who attend and we need teachers, mentors and some to just love the children each Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30. Mt. Bethel's Administrative Council will meet Sunday, January 30, at 12:15 in the Chapel. Mt. Bethel's Career Ministry will meet on Tuesday, January 25 at Mt. Bethel's Community Center (4608 Lower Roswell Road near the corner of Woodlawn Drive) Resume Reviews begin at 6:30pm and the Presentation starts at 7:30pm. The evening's topic is Developing and Marketing Your Employment Brand. Developing an Employment Brand is a key component of a successful job search. In today's job market companies are looking for candidates who have clearly communicated who they are, what they are, and the skills and knowledge that they bring to a perspective job. Recruiters and HR professionals are looking for job seekers on a daily basis. It is important to make sure you can be found easily and that your brand is clear. This session will provide an inside look into how Recruiters search for job seekers. This session will also provide a process and tools for job seekers to successfully position themselves and compete in today's challenging labor market. For more information visit the Mt. Scouting for Food - On February 6 (Boy Scout Sunday), our Scouts will hold their annual food drive to benefit MUST Ministries at both the 9:30 and 11:00 services. Please bring canned goods and non-perishable goods (no glass items please) to Church with you on Sunday, February 6. Canned meats, cereals and jam and jelly are foods that MUST especially requests. Scouts will be in the parking lot with collection containers. The Scouts and MUST thank you for your donation.
Safe Sanctuary Training Sunday January 23 at 11:15 in room F011 (basement of Education building). If you teach Sunday school, volunteer in Children's worship or work Vacation Bible School you need this training. Please let Susan Preece know you will be there.

Parents: join your student in their small group this week on the 3rd floor of the F building. The Parents Sunday School class will begin next Sunday, the 30th with Don Mayfield in room B118. Any parents can attend. HS Inside Out | Jan. 19th - 7:00pm This is our high-school-only worship service. Come for a great message and a time of worship. MS Day|One | Jan 23rd This is our Middle School Sunday morning worship service from 9:15-10:40am in the Upper Room. HS Sunday School | Jan. 23rd Join us on Sunday mornings for fun, fellowship, Bible lessons, and the occasional breakfast! HS Mission Ops | Jan. 23rd This is an opportunity for high school students to share the love of Christ by serving others. We currently have 45 high school students signed up to serve at 9:30 am in numerous ministries within the church. Middle School Camo Night | Jan. 23rd | 6-8pm | On the Fields Come dressed in your camo and bring friends and a flashlight. Music Ministry
Music Registrations open to all for Winter/Spring 2011. Contact Sandra Chapman for more info. Praise and weePraise, Mt. Bethel's children's music ministry, is back in full swing for grades 1-5. We meet on Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm, and we welcome new members, as we begin new songs and our Spring musical. "101 Dalmatians, Kids" will be produced during Music Week, 2011. Music Week is for rising first through rising sixth graders, July 18-22, 9:00am-1:00pm. The musical will be performed on July 22, at 7:00 P.M. Women's Ministry

College/Young Adult Ministry

Recreation
Youth Winter Basketball Make-up Pictures are scheduled for Saturday, January 22 between 12:00 and 2:00. If you missed your regularly scheduled picture time, you may show up anytime in this time frame for your individual pictures. Youth Rock Wall Climbing Class - Just a reminder to those registered - classes begin Tuesday or Thursday, January 18 & 20. Classes were delayed one week because of snow. Youth Spring Sports - Now registering for baseball, softball, t-ball, soccer, flag football and volleyball. Go to mtbethel.org for specific ages and fees. Register online ($5 fee) or in the CAC. Deadline is January 25. Some leagues will fill early so don't wait. High School Girl's Volleyball - Now registering. Must not be on a high school team. Aloha to Aging Education: Home Safety and "Aging In Place": (Rescheduled due to weather. Call for new date/time.) Is your home prepared to help keep you safe and independent? Join Aloha to Aging, Inc. for an interactive 40 minute presentation on the issues, challenges, and solutions to ensuring additional safety steps are considered for those who want to "age in place". Safe Seniors on Simulators: Thursday, January 20th, 1:30-3:00 p.m. Offering a supportive and positive atmosphere for families with seniors looking to enhance their driving skills. A driving simulation will test the senior's reaction time to determine driving competency levels.
