Mt. Bethel's Career Ministry will meet on Tuesday, December 28, at Mt. Bethel's Community Center (4608 Lower Roswell Road near the corner of Woodlawn Drive) Resume Reviews begin at 6:30pm and the Presentation starts at 7:30pm. The evening's topic is "Interviewing for Success." Job seekers tend to spend most of their preparation time developing the "perfect" resume. While it takes a good resume to get an interview, it is the interview that ultimately determines who gets the job. This session will focus on interviewing strategies and preparation which will give a job seeker confidence, help them control the interview, and differentiate them from the competition. During the session we also discuss strategies for dealing with the challenging question, "What is your current salary?" For more information visit the Mt. Bethel, please go to mtbethel.org On the front page of the website, go to the "online giving" button, located near the bottom of the main web page. Click on the button, and then click on the file located below the credit card symbols. This is the form to use for transferring stock to Mt. Bethel . . . just fill it out and give to your account representative for your stock transfers. Then just e-mail Gale Koven to let her know the name of the stock you are transferring to Mt. Bethel and the giving purpose of the donation. Please remember charitable contributions must be claimed in the year they are delivered. One exception is a check mailed to a charity: it is deductible in the year the check is mailed (post-marked), even if it is received early in the next year. Volunteers Needed! -Special Olympics Cobb Winter Games, January 21-23 - join us as we volunteer at venues all around Cobb County. Adults, teens and children (with their parents) are welcome to volunteer. It is our plan to volunteer as a group on Saturday, January 22, but you may sign up to volunteer anytime that works with your schedule! HS Inside Out resumes January 5 - This is our high-school-only worship service. Come here a great message and a time of worship. MS Day|One resumes Jan 2nd - This is our Middle School Sunday morning worship service from 9:15-10:40am in the Upper Room. HS Sunday School resumes Jan. 2nd - Join us on Sunday mornings for fun, fellowship, Bible lessons, and the occasional breakfast! HS Mission Ops resumes Jan. 9th -This is an opportunity for high school students to share the love of Christ by serving others. We currently have 45 high school students signed up to serve at 9:30 am in numerous ministries within the church. To sign up for Mission Ops, please pick up a form upstairs in the B Building.
HS Spring Break Mission Trips 9th and 10th Grade students are going to the Bahamas and 11th and 12th Grade students are going to Belize. To register, simply pay a $250 non-refundable deposit , and you will receive your registration packet. Belize registration ends DECEMBER 29th!! Youth Winter Basketball - resumes with practices the week of January 3rd. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
WALKING TRACK is CLOSED on Saturdays during basketball games for teams to gather before their games.
NEW! Youth Rock Wall Climbing Class - Registration has begun for this 5-week Rock Wall Climbing Class teaching all aspects of climbing. It will be offered on Tuesday or Thursday beginning January 11 & 13 for 1st -5th grades. Go to mtbethel.org/rec to print off a registration form or come to the CAC. Space is limited so don't delay. Youth Spring Sports - Registration has begun for baseball, t-ball, soccer, flag football and volleyball. Go to mtbethel.org/rec for specific ages and fees. Register online ($5 fee) or in the CAC. Don't wait as some leagues will fill up early. High School Girl's Volleyball - Registration begins Monday, December 13. Must not be on a high school team. Play will be on Monday nights beginning February 14. Register your team in the CAC. Women's Basketball - Registration begins Monday, December 13 for women 19+. Play will be on Tuesday nights beginning February 8. Register in the CAC.
