Student Missions: As we reflect on the blessings God has poured out over us this Thanksgiving/Christmas season, we remember that He calls us to pass on those blessings to others in our effort to spread the love of Christ to our neighbors. As our mission theme comes from Matthew 25:40, "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me;" we want our students to have the opportunity to put their faith into action this April with our Spring Break international mission trips. Our 9th and 10th grade students will be traveling to Nassau, Bahamas to work with Bahamas Methodist Habitat to build relationships with local communities, help rebuild housing from the devastating effects of hurricane seasons, and lead Vacation Bible School for local children. Trip Cost is $600 for Mt. Bethel Members and Registration deadline for this trip is January 23. Our 11th and 12th grade students will be traveling to Belize to work with Praying Pelican Missions to do much of the same type of work. We will be working with local pastors in the area to help spread the Gospel, light construction, Vacation Bible School, and relationship building. Trip Cost is $800 for Mt. Bethel Members and Registration Deadline for this trip is December 29. If you are interested, have questions, would like to know how you can help, or you would like to make a donation to sponsor a student missioner please contact Cary Farrington in Student Ministries at cary.farrington@mtbethel.org. Payment plans are available, and registration is now open. Check out their website for details. Please be in prayer for our teams as we put compassion into action to spread the love of Christ. Randy Mickler, Senior Pastor

Crutches 4 Africa! Needed now! Have you ever wondered what to do with all those old crutches you have in your basement or attic? Well, there is a desperate need for your old crutches to help the people of Africa! Crutches 4 Africa collects used crutches and ships them to men, women and children who have suffered polio (which is active in Africa), debilitating birth defects, and injuries rendering them unable to walk on their legs. Please help! Bring your used crutches to the foyer of the CAC and we'll get it to those who so desperately need them. What a blessing you will be! If you have any questions, please call Rev. Diane Parrish at 770-971-2880, ext 215. God bless!
Operation Christmas Child Update - After a brief stop at the Southeast OCC warehouse, the 950 shoe boxes that were dedicated at Mt. Bethel this past Sunday will start their journey to children around the world. Many thanks to all who participated, including Mt. Bethel members, preschoolers and academy students who donated the boxes, as well as those who helped put the boxes in cartons and load them for delivery. These gifts open doors for presenting the gospel to many remote areas of the world.

"A Birthday Gift for Jesus?" - Have you ever been to a birthday party when all the guests presented gifts to each other, and no one gave a gift to the person whose birthday was being celebrated? Each year Americans spend $400 billion dollars on Christmas. Wouldn't it be nice to acknowledge Jesus Christ with a gift on His birthday?! He's the reason for the celebration and too often He is the only one left out. He tells us in Matthew 25:40, "Just as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it unto me." Every birthday gift for Jesus received by Mt. Bethel will be used to lift the lives of the least and last. Rather than spend money for a tie or socks for someone who doesn't need either, why not give toward "The Birthday Gift for Jesus" in their honor or memory? Mt. Bethel will acknowledge your gift with a special card to the person or family informing them of your honor or remembrance. This "Birthday Gift for Jesus" will enable Mt. Bethel to bless those who need it most as we all celebrate God's gift to us in Christ our Lord! Please make your check out to Mt. Bethel and mark "Birthday Gift for Jesus" on the "for" line. Please write the necessary information if you wish to honor or remember that special person. God bless you and have a Merry Christmas!

Our annual Service of Hope, for those suffering from the loss of a loved one, will be Monday, December 6, at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. If you would like to donate stock to Mt. Bethel, please go to www.mtbethel.org. On the front page of the website, go to the "online giving" button, located near the bottom of the main web page. Click on the button, and then click on the file located below the credit card symbols. This is the form to use for transferring stock to Mt. Bethel . . . just fill it out and give to your account representative for your stock transfers. Then just e-mail Gale Koven to let her know the name of the stock you are transferring to Mt. Bethel and the giving purpose of the donation. Please remember charitable contributions must be claimed in the year they are delivered. One exception is a check mailed to a charity: it is deductible in the year the check is mailed (post-marked), even if it is received early in the next year. The church offices will be closed on the following dates: November 25 and 26, December 24, 27 and 31 We have lots of dates available for you to reserve the altar flowers.
